A new venue for 2022, we are absolutely delighted to be working with Falmer Court as their exclusive catering partners.
The English country estate of Falmer Court, nestled in the beautiful Sussex South Downs, dates back to the 13th Century and comprises an 18th Century Court House and a mid-13th Century Great Thatched Barn. Known to be one of the largest barns in the British Isles, the Great Thatched Barn at Falmer Court has been lovingly restored through careful planning and heritage process, making it the perfect venue to host events, weddings, shoots and film sets, and just an hour from London! The estate has been meticulously restored to sensational effect by current owners, the Woolley family. They have skilfully created a tasteful and luxurious, polished yet practical environment, while respecting the estate’s heritage.
The Great Thatched Barn with its stunning features and wow factor is steeped in history and was once in the hands of Anne of Cleaves, Thomas Cromwell and the Earl of Chichester. With its soaring timbered roof, walls, cross beams and vast, Cathedral-like interior countered by cosy corners, The Great Thatched Barn is an amazingly versatile building, accommodating 200 guests seated comfortably in your preferred layout.
Exclusively yours for the duration of your wedding the historic Great Thatched Barn has a wonderfully warm and welcoming atmosphere; it’s a magical place providing every ingredient needed to create a truly memorable wedding and joyful celebration.
How and where you exchange your vows is your personal choice. The barn presents the perfect space for a Civil Service conducted by the local registrar, with up to 130 guests seated
For a religious ceremony, Falmer Court is situated in the charming community of Falmer and the picturesque Anglican village church of St Laurence is literally a stone’s throw away from the barn. Its Vicar warmly welcomes couples for wedding services, followed by celebrations in the barn
Or if the beauty of nature attracts, the spectacular scenery of the South Downs surrounding Falmer Court makes for a memorable outdoor ceremony. Our characterful rustic wooden arch, which can be wreathed in flower garlands offers a delightful romantic space to say “I do” in the glorious British countryside.

Vows taken, guests head to your wedding reception set up in the spectacular grounds. Rustic-style patio furniture on the lawns give places for guests to sit, while an attractive and practical stretch tent provides shade in summer and shelter in winter.
As Falmer Court’s catering partners, we’ll work alongside you to design the wedding breakfast of your dreams with the assistance of our critically acclaimed Executive Chef, Justin Gillam. From creative canapes, to formal three-course wedding breakfasts to Hog Roasts, BBQ or ‘Family Style’ sharing platters, when it comes to your wedding day food, the options are endless! Your guests can then experience some of Circa’s quirky evening food options such as the Circa Pizza Van, Bert & Ernie Street Food Karts, Bev the Gelato Bike and the Brighton Burger Company Van. In addition to delivering outstanding food, we do all we can to maximise sustainability and make a positive environmental impact.
